from the desk of cassandra naidas: PHYSICS

these are [obviously] cassy's notes. everything here is found in the book, but these, i think are the ones we really get to read [get me?]
anyway.
im too lazy to type all the info, that's why i scanned her notes instead. just click on the picture/s for larger a scale.

and oh! this might come in handy as well. [it really is, actually]
JUST TO REFRESH OUR MINDS :D

Rules on Significant Figures
1. All non-zero numbers are significant
2. Zeros between non-zero numbers are significant
3. Zeros to the LEFT <-- of the first non-zero number are NOT significant]
4. If a number is greater than 1, all zeros to the RIGHT --> of the decimal point are significant.
5. Zeros to the LEFT <-- of a non-zero number without a following decimal point or another non-zero number are not significant UNLESS there is a bar on top of the zero.

determining how many significant numbers your final answer should have:
* in addition and subtraction, the least number of significant figures after the decimal point should be the number of the significant figures in the final answer.
* in multiplication and division, the least number of significant figures in the original factors are the number of the significant figures in the final answer
